BC Hydro has deployed a Real-time Operational Performance Management system (OPM) that monitors 30 hydroelectric generation facilities in various locations across the province of British Columbia.
Leveraging Cogent’s expertise in OPMs, this system has the capability to capture information in real time and subsequently build a knowledge base of equipment performance. Using this information, operators now have the visibility they need to quickly prioritize alerts, conduct root cause analysis of issues, mobilize the right people and make well informed decisions for BC Hydro.
