We are a team of professionals that has focused its operations towards sustainable technologies by executing Industrial projects in the Engineered Wood and Biomass Processing Industries.
You will be joining a team that is passionate about their contributions in the industries we serve. We are currently seeking an equally enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our Finance team in an environment that can be challenging that requires initiative, strong attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to multi-task.
In this supporting role, you will report to the Controller, work closely with PMO to ensure information is process accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide administrative and coordination assistance.
Prepare and handle administrative tasks including but not limited to bookkeeping, document filing, photocopying, and archiving of files.
Reconcile supplier’s holdback invoices and process for payment.
Manage Microsoft excel spreadsheet(s) to track costs.
Complete data and record suppliers’ invoices and change orders.
Perform word processing and excel tasks such as letters, memos, specifications, and reports.
Maintain consistency with document for format and content, including editing and proofreading documents.
Draft purchase orders and change orders.
Support accounts payable activities.
Execute additional duties and requests as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong organization, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
2+ years’ business-related office administration experience, bookkeeping preferably in an industrial related environment.
Post-secondary education supplemented by Administrative and computer courses.
Computer proficiency and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Ability to work with web-based business applications.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and achieve deadlines.
Exceptional client relation and customer service skills.
Able to demonstrate sense of initiative and ownership.
Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
Ability to work in a team or independently and able to anticipate and solve problems with minimal oversight.
